Product 1 · Money
Problem
Pay-now took contributors’ money months before the gift was ordered, and counted DADO’s fee twice.
What I did
Pledge now, charge before the order. Money moves once, announced, in the days before DADO buys.

Problem
Six account controls promised privacy that the data did not keep.

03 · Platform decisions
The founder wrote the April 2026 PRDs. These are the calls I made on top of them that apply to every product. Each product page holds its own.
Decision 01
Why
The system’s first rule: “Think private members’ club, not consumer e-commerce.” So the colours are rich: warm ivory, deep midnight and a taupe close to gold. Cormorant Garamond carries display and product names. Karla carries everything functional.
What it cost
Two typefaces, never a third, and only the colours in the token table. Every screen and every email has to fit inside that.

Decision 02
Why
The Figma library holds 123 primitives and 77 theme variables, and the code reads them as CSS variables. Every screen I design across DADO, from One Big Wish to Accounts and The Edit, uses the same table. The emails are one example: each template shares the wordmark, Cormorant headline, Karla body and midnight footer.
What it cost
A hex outside the table does not ship, so a new colour needs a new token first, in Figma and in code.

Decision 03
I lead three products and take each one from Figma to shipped code.
Why
On a small team, the gap between design and build is where products go wrong. Leading One Big Wish, Accounts and The Edit end to end put the rule, the screen and the code in the same pull request.
What it cost
Three products in two months, and none measured yet. Teammates’ pieces stay credited: Manish’s first sketches, Anchal’s dossier screens, Somava’s List template.
